Looking for low-fi Marlborough? There’s definitely a raw rather than polished edge here but thankfully nothing feral either. Ripe strawberry, wild raspberry, vanilla, and more floral than spice, this is light on its feet at 11.5% and could certainly cope with a bit of chilling too. Fine texture and very soft, lithe tannins, this has a nice tonic-like sapidity, very drinkable and easy-going. Made with care, ex-Seresin winemaker Clive Dougall’s years of experience refining these styles really shows. Organic, no sulphur, vegan and certified B Corp.
