Clayvin is the original close-planted hillside site in Marlborough's Southern Valleys, and Fromm have taken fruit from the vineyard since day one. The rich soils and warm 2016 vintage have created a  full-bodied and fleshy wine, offering depth and complex layers of flavour. Floral notes, spice and maraschino elements abound. No stems are used in the ferment, but there's no need - abundant tannins coat the mouth with a fine-grained texture, while a fine line of acidity pulls this through to a satisfying conclusion.
