A very dry summer in Marlborough led to reduced yields and concentration of fruit in 2015. The warm growing season also enabled this rare Marlborough Viognier to reach full maturity, offering an attractive, scented nose filled with apricots and elderflowers. Grown organically, the grapes were fermented and matured for 18 months in puncheons. This is a full-bodied, ripe style which caresses the palate. There's an intense level of fruit concentration but no oiliness, and just enough freshness to bring this home. Apricots and cream linger on the long finish.
