A little extra bottle age has added a touch of savoury earth and dried herb notes to the nose, alongside Black Doris plum and black cherries plus mocha oak. Quite silky and polished on the palate, with good depth of fruit and a vibrant line of acidity. Drinking nicely now with some layers to explore. Its name a nod to the misfortune of the (very) distant ancestors of winemaker Brent Marris, The King’s Wrath’s grapes were sourced from the Southern Valleys and spent 11 months in French oak, 50% new.
