Fresh green pear on the nose comes with Grüner's inherent savouriness, in this case a hint of fresh moss and boxwood. More air reveals riper notes of juicy, golden pear. The palate is concentrated and, again in typical Grüner fashion, comes with a beautiful, yeasty mouthfeel. The purity of the pear fruit and bright freshness shine on the long finish. Yealands has been experimenting with this Austrian variety since 2012, and it shows – they get it spot on.
