A smart buy – the same vineyard and varieties as Mouro Gold, but aged in French and Portuguese oak (50% new), rather than 100% new French oak. Not as powerful in 2014 as top years, but elegant with herb-edged persistent ripe red and black berry, earthy blackcurrant, dried fig and plum fruit with gravel undertones, spicy oak and fine-grained tannins.
