Fragrant and lifted, very evocative of the slopes of Serra de São Mamede, with a burst of rockrose, rosemary and wild oregano over a fresh layer of wet soil and forest floor. The tannins are firm and savoury, supporting the voluminous palate with assertiveness and ease. Pleasant meatiness at the core, with fleshy plums, blackberries and roasted chestnuts coated in pine resin. Complex, dynamic finish with a long tail of rosemary oil, blueberry leaf and Darjeeling. Great ageing potential here.
