Named for the US President who was said to be a great fan of Pico wines. The rum-and-raisin intensity on both nose and palate highlights the oldest wine (minimum 30 years) in this fortified non-vintage licoroso. Medium-dry with 61g/L residual sugar, the fresher, fruitier candied citrus notes band together with a touch of volatile acidity (a high-toned nuttiness) to bring lift and layer. IThe palate is well-balanced and persistent, with an unmistakable oceanic undertow of salt and iodine.
