Deep mahogany, with terrific spicy, nutty depth and resonance to the nose, as well as black cardamom, coffee bean, fig leaf and fern. Aged in 5L glass jugs since 2005, it's medium dry (46g/L residual sugar) but silky and fleet of foot. Saturating acidity (9.2g/L) lifts and buoys the fruit (dried fig, Medjool date, raisin) and subtle umami layers (kid-glove leather, toasted salted nuts and seeds). Intense, complex and long. Just 86 bottles produced.
