A little reduced on the nose, with graphite-edged black berry and cherry fruit to nose and palate, dried herbs, bergamot and toasty oak nuances. Still coming together on the palate, the (predominantly black) fruit remains a tad four square. Ripe but present tannins and fresh acidity bode well for when the fruit blossoms.
