Spending 30 years in old 550-litre casks, this tawny has taken on a patina of age, with interesting aromas of balsamic and polished antique furniture alongside the rich dried fruit notes: sultanas, raisins and figs. The palate is deep and layered, with a long finish that unfurls with notes of toasted nuts, dried orange peel, figs and spice. The velvety mid-palate showcases rounded notes of fig biscuits, dates, sweet oranges, burnt caramel and fruit cake. Serve slightly chilled; an open bottle will keep in the fridge for a week or two.
