From a rollercoaster year – winter rains, early summer drought, very cool August – in which Touriga Franca really shone (taking more than 40% of the blend). This is a supremely elegant Vesúvio, from the high-toned florals on the nose to the lightly stewed bilberry and blueberry on the extremely silky palate, backed up by appealing hints of petrichor and balsamic. Quite beautiful.
