A thoroughly worthy Gold medal winner at this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards. Deep, almost opaque in colour, still youthful in appearance. Fine, restrained but characteristically floral fruit just starting to blossom on the nose and opening up beautifully in the glass. Lovely ripe berry fruit flavours with a hint of minty ripeness backed by firm gravelly tannins which linger on a long, vibrant, spicy finish. Lovely now and well balanced, suggesting a long life ahead.
