Adega de Pegões is a cooperative winery located in the Setúbal region. With over 100 growers, it covers 1,117ha and the majority of production is red wine. But this white wine is a blend of native Portuguese varieties Fernão Pires, Verdelho, Antão Vaz and Arinto, with a small proportion of Chardonnay too. Fermented and aged in American and French oak, it's a bold and full-on style of wine with a pungent nose of roses and peach skin. Intense and intriguing, the notes of lavender and patchouli are backed up by a full and creamy texture. There's 6.4g/L of residual sugar, which doesn't necessarily come through as sweetness but gives a long, lush finish.
