The Spier team harnesses more than 300 years of winemaking heritage, and is committed to crafting wines truly expressive of their terroir, with minimal interference. The Seaward range is sourced from South Africa’s top coastal areas in order to express finesse and an elegant expression of cooler climate Pinotage. Greg Sherwood MW: Lovely balance of red and black fruit aromatics and oak spice. The palate is cool and broad, fresh and intense with tart blackberry fruit concentration, piercing acids and a long, sleek oak finish. Roger Jones: Luscious perfume of violets and wild herbs. On the palate there are spiced sour cherries, hints of savouriness, with hints of tannin and cedar. Victoria Mason: Sweet jam, clove spice and cocoa aromas. Concentrated, rich fruit balanced by bright acidity, which leads to a long and tangy finish. Young, with more to come.
