The subtle nose initially gives hints of stone with top notes of apple, wax and a serene sense of lemon. The first thing to strike on the palate is the fine mousse and the taut, tight, bright and linear body that is concentrated, fully flavoured and absolutely linear. Totally focused on lemon and apple, with much serenity, purity and real drive. Wow. This oak-aged limited edition marks the tenth anniversary of Charles Fox's founding and was made from just two barrels, resulting in a mere 600 bottles. 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Meunier, it spends five and a-half years on lees and comes with just 4g/L of dosage. The Foxes named this Cipher due to its original meaning of zero, standing for zero compromise.
