This is settling into a relaxed state of maturity now at seven years old. Intense red fruit, tomato stalk, bay leaf – clearly whole-bunch fermented. Fresh and herbal, with lovely vibrant acidity, and it’s intensely saline on the long finish. This is a really impressive Syrah that will delight lovers of traditional northern Rhône wines. Woodsmoke on the finish. The aromatics build and build over time, this is a beautiful wine. 100% Syrah made up of clones SH9c & SH22. 40% new oak.
