From grapes grown on the Roggeveld escarpment at 1,500m. 'This is the realisation of my dream to make wine in a place where, at night, you can almost pick the stars by hand, so bright and pure is the atmosphere,' says Johan Kruger. Whole-bunch pressing and wild ferment preserve the purity with some lees-ageing for white chalk backdrop and subtly saline finish.
