Owned by the Myburgh family, Joostenberg is on the border between Paarl and Stellenbosch – business ventures include a specialist pork butchery, deli, bistro, beer taproom and organic vineyard farming. This is a blend of 92% Cabernet and 8% Merlot, matured for 22 months in barrel, 17% new. Cassis, some leafiness and oak on the nose, and the palate displays a good core of fruit, bright acidity and fine tannins.
