A truly beautiful Syrah: gorgeously perfumed wild herbs, flowers and vibrant red fruit purity helped by third of the fruit being fermented whole bunch. There's more of the same on the slinky, sappy palate, along with pepper, baking spices and a darker plum core. Part of the wine aged for 13 months in barrel, 30% new, while part matured in concrete tanks, giving a delicious energy and grip to the tannins. CWG estimate: ZAR4,500-5,400 per six-bottle case
