Helderberg

Brooding and hefty, showing lots of power and alcohol warmth that needs time to knit and settle. Lots of blackcurrant notes from the 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, filled out with plummy Shiraz and a dollop of Cinsault. Quite a chewy extracted style, each variety fermented and aged for 18 months in barrel before blending. Needs time. CWG estimate: ZAR3,300-4,600 per six-bottle case
