Historic Hartenberg was founded in 1692 but was the first wine farm in South Africa (and only the second in the world) to achieve verification for regenerative agriculture in January 2025.This terroir-driver single-vineyard Shiraz comes from vines planted on the gravelly 'koffie-klip' soils of the Bottelary Hills. Poised and expressive, the palate is layered with spices and earthy tones, over its vibrant red fruit. I love the beguiling smokiness to the nose too.
