A burly, bold wine that doesn't show the elegance of either the 2015 or 2017 but still provides juicy enjoyment. More earthy, smoky and savoury in character, with prominent oak and quite extracted plum and strawberry fruit leather notes. There's a streak of mint running through that refreshes and firm, chalky tannins for structure.
