South Africa

Incredibly peppery nose! Black, white and pink – all the peppercorns. Then quite generous on the palate, with expansive ripe fruits and juicy acidity. Slightly warming alcohol to close, but this is a joyful, intense, fresh, complex Syrah. Great value. South-facing granite soils. Whole-bunch fermented with wild yeast, then aged 30 months in 600L old French oak barrels. No additions apart from SO2.
