From two vineyards, planted in 1960 and 1972, on the hills of the Siebritskloof. This variety used to account for around 90% of plantings in South Africa according to David, but nowadays it's more like 1%, which is a shame as this is a delicious example.

It initially has a creamy, custard-like note which yields to the lemon-driven aromas, joined by a touch of honey and a hint of lime leaf. The fruit underwent skin contact for one week, giving it a textured, pithy palate which displays some creamy apricot and pure lemon flavours. Matured in foudre for 12 months.

2,000 bottles produced.
