From one of South Africa’s original organic vineyards. A three-way blend of Chenin Blanc, Verdelho and Roussanne. Smell the stone, the rushing river. The fynbos drying in the sun. This is so of place it sings. Perfumes of blood orange, hay, melon and ripe citrus abound. Just six months in oak, some new for a substrate of hot honey toast. Chenin’s tensile spine runs through the silkiness of the mouthfeel, going gently savoury to the neatly dry finish.
