This is a wine looking at life through rose-gold-tinted glasses. It's gorgeous colour is a clue to the elevage; one half direct-pressed, the other half spent seven to 10 days on skins, bringing silky grip, savouriness and blood-orange bite. Bursting with cardamom, rose petals and orange zest, which peels away to mandarin, dried apricot and ripe quince on the palate. Chalky and dry with a grippy salt-flake finish. The name Tin Soldier is a salute to Sémillon’s role as the Cape wine industry’s old 'foot soldier'.
