Jolandie Fouche was born in Cape Town and raised in the Swartland. After more than a decade of earning her stripes in the South African wine industry, she decided to turn her attention to her passion project, Wolf & Woman Wines. This Pinotage is made from grapes yielded by a single bush-vine vineyard in the Paardeberg region, in granitic soils and dryland farmed since 1973. Greg Sherwood MW: Has a dark-fruited nose with exotic hints of peach peeking through. The palate shows a red plum, sweet-and-sour brightness with a subtle red cherry twist on the finish. Cool, mineral and elegant. Roger Jones: Polished nose, dark blueberries, with some marzipan and spices. Very bright, needs time. Wild strawberries on the finish. Victoria Mason: Fresh and inviting. Super juicy and fresh on the palate too – with a stony/mineral intensity. Tangy cherry acidity, very fine-grained tannins. A sappy, spicy edge to the finish.
