Sharon Parnell, after whom this wine was named, was the first in Hemel-en Aarde to make Cap Classique wines from her family's now 20ha of estate vineyards. This Pinot Noir-dominant rosé (only 58% in this vintage) has only partial malo and enjoys six years on its lees before release and shows tangy red apples, gentle leafy tones and rich yeasty complexity. Disgorged in 2019, the acidity remains vibrant and bright with an engaging cherry finish. Dry and with low dosage, it's a great food wine – as is the Chardonnay-dominant Claudia cuvée.
