A whiff of red plum and cherry, there's a core of berry compote. A little hint of Band Aid. A medium body with pleasant red fruit characters, raspberry and blackberry. Definite freshness, and restrained but present tannins. Feels as though it's lacking a bit of definition though, a touch of extra bite – I want something a bit more moreish. The winemaker works in a low intervention style, maybe this is a bit of a muted bottle?
