Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were pressed together, fermented in stainless steel and aged on the gross lees before spending four and a half years on tirage. Fresh redcurrants and an edge of pepper spice on the nose, more air revealing notes of rhubarb and blood orange peel that become stronger as the wine warms up. The body is beautifully light, almost ethereal and yet shows a lovely concentration of tart red flavours. Very elegant with lots of mileage.
