There’s a lot of wine for your money here in this fabulous alternative to white Rioja. Full-flavoured and complex, as you’d expect from Garnacha Blanca, it shows expressive notes of quince, yellow plum, ripe pear and a pinch of saffron. The palate is textured and stony, with a pleasing white-chocolate waxiness. Definitely a food wine.
