Located in Porrera, Ferrer Bobet has established long and close relationships with local growers, some of whose century-old vineyards provide the grapes for this blend of 72% Cariñena and 28% Garnacha. Harvested by hand, the fruit undergoes careful selection before fermentation in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 15 months in fine-grained French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, spending a minimum of 18 months more in bottle before release. Beth Willard: This is all about bright red fruit. Pomegranate and rose petal lead to a palate that’s super-fresh but understated. The tannins are silky and everything is in the right place. Eugenio Egorov: Black berries and cassis on the nose, with a balsamic hint. Precise and well made with good complexity and fruit character. Matthew Forster MW: Approachable and well integrated. Solid fruit concentration, persistent finish with good varietal typicity.
