Solà Clàssic grows all its grapes on its certified organic Mas Hereu estate, founded in the late 18th century and still dedicating a large portion of the land to growing Cariñena (55% of this blend) and Garnacha (45%). The components are fermented separately in stainless steel then aged for six months in American oak barrels. Beth Willard: Big and bold, layers of fruit, incredibly fresh and vibrant for a seven-year-old wine. The nose is still very lively and fresh, with primary fruit, garrigue and oak spice. Very rich but balanced. Diana Rollan: Ripe and intense. Aromas of red and black fruit, thyme and mint and a touch of leather. Big and bold, mouthwatering, with a long, complex, savoury finish. David Williams: An arresting Mediterranean contrast of cooked and candied red fruit with intensely grippy tannins and a meaty savouriness. A compelling mineral note and fruit on the finish; demands red meat.
