An Atlantic red, from the tiny Rías Baixas sub-zone of Soutomaior. Red wines hardly figure on the DO's production, so this is a rare opportunity to try one. Noelia and Simón Bebelia are the couple behind the wines. From a 3ha plot, with soils of sand and xabre, decayed granite over granite mother rock. Barrel-fermented and briefly aged in used oak. Laden with damson fruit, with a surprisingly fleshy core, and a distinct crisp finish.
