An accomplished blend of 60% Tempranillo, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, only made in top vintages. An intense, enveloping nose of ripe black fruit with tertiary notes: baked plums, spice, mushroom and aromas of an old leather-bound journal. Spending 24 months in new 225-litre French and American oak barrels, with at least six more years of bottle ageing before release, this is showing lovely evolution now. Harmonious palate with soft tannins and evolved savoury, undergrowth notes balanced by red fruit freshness, with an uplifting seam of acidity throughout and a lingering finish with savoury, cherry and chocolate notes. A super wine!
