Beautiful blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, from a vineyard whose character is determined by the presence of lastras: big flat pieces of limestone. Despite its 18 months in 225-litre barrels, the oak plays merely a supporting role to filigree flavours of cherry, plum, blackberry and blackcurrant – all so detailed, vivid and juicy at the core. Long, with a fine tail of sage, Earl Grey and thyme. Drinking beautifully now but still with a long life ahead.
