This limited-edition bottling is made from a blend of 70% Tempranillo and 15% each of Maturana and Graciano, all grown in the vineyards of the Valle de Ocón. The 2004 harvest started in early October. The wine was then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels, followed by further ageing in bottle before being bottled in March 2007. Pedro Ballesteros Torres MW: Bordeaux-like aromas, with cassis and blackberry. Very well structured, long, elegant and complex. A great wine with a long time ahead of it. Sarah Jane Evans MW: Succulent, spicy and crisp in character, with juicy red fruits, fine textured tannin and a long finish. Some herbal notes, too. Plenty of individuality. Pierre Mansour: A floral, distinctive bouquet, with cumin spice and green pepper. It has a velvety texture, and is substantial and bold in style, with the structure to keep going.
