Elías López Montero works with parcels in San Vicente de la Sonsierra (hence 'SVS') marked by altitude and limestone soils. The wine is fermented in concrete and aged for 10 months, part in 400L and 500L oak barrels, part in old clay amphorae. It is seductively silky with perfectly managed tannins offering just enough chalky lift while blueberry and red berry fruit reflect this very pure, highly defined Tempranillo. It is a wine with intense concentration but set apart by its vibrancy and velvety texture.
