Conde de los Andes in Rioja Alta boasts one kilometre of underground cellars, which date back to the 1600s, housing 400,000 bottles including stocks of the 1892 vintage. This 100% Viura was fermented in new, low-toast French oak barrels where it matured for eight months. The oak is evident, with creamy, vanilla notes allied to the tropical primary fruit. It's very young, but the fresh acidity and structure should see it evolve well.
