This exceptional white is a field blend from a parcel planted in 1906 in Alto Najerilla, on south-facing slopes at 700m. Fermented and aged for eight months in new 500L French barrels, there is a little balsamic character, nutmeg and woody spice. Spring flowers and jasmine tea make for a pretty nose while the palate offers depth and complexity. The finish is saline with just enough grainy oak tannin. A fresh white with just a nod to Rioja’s past.
