Founded in 1989, the bodega has pioneered techniques including cleaning grapes with their own must. Fruit is sourced from more than 80ha of vineyards across the Sierra de Cantabria range, averaging 50 years. This Garnacha was harvested in September (‘Iraila’ in Basque) 2020 and bottled in September 2021, having aged in French oak and ceramic jars. Sarah Jane Evans MW: Bursting with red cherry and berry fruits. Bolstered by a plump, fleshy palate that expands and develops. Mouthfilling and fresh. Warm finish with fine-grained texture. Diana Rollan: Intense and elegant, with a perfumed character, notes of red berry, cranberry, raspberry and a touch of violet with a sweet spicy finish. Ripe, round tannins. Elegant, textured style. Beth Willard: Unmistakably Garnacha. Lovely purity, raspberry and red cherry. Intense acidity lifts the palate – fresh and crunchy. Refined and finessed.
