Bodegas Montecillo has revived its classic Viña Monty brand, complete with a pleasingly vintage label and featuring three wines, one of which is this lustrous Graciano. Sourced from two vineyards: one in the Mediterranean climate of Rioja Oriental and one from a 440m altitude plot in Rioja Alta. The result is a wine of very pure and vivid dark fruit (blackberry and black cherry), a hint of black olive, freshening acidity and very upright but polished tannins.
