If you like your rosé full of colour and ripe fruit, this Rioja rosado is a good buy at just under a tenner. The combination of direct pressing and some skin contact gives a bright pink colour, and the Tempranillo grapes give intensely juicy red berry and cherry flavours, with some peach and redcurrant notes too. A good bite of acidity keeps it fresh, and balances the generosity of fruit. Would be delicious with a plate of prawns pil pil.
