Murrieta’s Capellanía has become a classic. A single-vineyard wine from the Ygay estate at about 485m, produced from Viura vines planted in 1945. Aged for 16 months in new French oak, the wine is pale but expressive in aroma, with notes of pear and toasted nuts, while the palate is exceptionally lively, with pears and almonds following through.
