A wine that leans dark and mysterious, displaying black cherry, wild strawberry and a touch of cocoa spice. The biodynamic Pinot Noir from Jenins and Malans is fermented spontaneously in 1,500-litre wooden vats, then aged for around a year in barrique (30% new French oak) and bottled unfiltered. The palate remains compact and stony rather than expansive. A dry, mineral line extends through the finish, reflecting the mosaic of limestone and schist soils that shape the wine’s presence.
