Amber-gold in the glass, this fortified Golden Muscat is made in the spirit of Madeira, matured for five years under intense tropical heat and losing 10% a year to evaporation before its 2023 bottling. The aromas are inviting: golden syrup, caramel, lavender and orange blossom, with notes of dried peach, fig, malt and toffee apple. The palate is rich and layered, with candied citrus, dried mango and roasted nuts alongside treacle and toasted almond. Sweet and generous, it is lifted by bright acidity that keeps everything fresh and balanced, leading to a long, graceful finish. A wine of real depth and charm, released in just 5,000 bottles each time and always highly sought after, with a two-year waiting list.
