<p>This ros&eacute; from Kent-based Hush Heath is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The base wine is fermented in stainless steel to accentuate primary fruit, with complexity introduced during three years or more of lees ageing in bottle. The appearance seems closer to &#39;gris&#39;, with a faint pink hue, than ros&eacute;. Aromas of honey and strawberries, with a sprinkling of white pepper, are followed by a creamy-textured palate showing red apple, cranberry, lemon toast and roasted almonds, with a fine, delicate, persistent mousse. Razor-sharp acidity cuts through it all to keep everything refreshingly balanced.</p>
