Greyfriars Vineyard in the Surrey North Downs reckons its non-vintage SB cuvée (exclusive to Ocado) is the only sparkling Sauvignon Blanc in the UK. But more than a novelty, it's a really distinctive, delicious wine – and great-value at £21 for a traditional-method English sparkling. It's very much on the leafy, savoury spectrum, with distinct tomato and caper characters, alongside wholemeal bread autolytic notes and a creamed honey finish. Racy acidity as you'd expect but the 10g/L dosage rounds it out. This third iteration was based on 2019 vintage fruit, bottled in spring 2020 and matured on lees until disgorgement in November 2023 and release in January 2024.
