Blending fruit from Sussex and Kent, the 2019 vintage has spent 36 months on lees and has been aged under cork since January 2024. The blush comes from 5% Pinot Précoce, added as still red wine at disgorgement in January 2024. Bruised red apple and toasty notes on the nose. With the base wine partially aged in Burgundian barrels, it is rounded and broad in style, underpinned by red apple and roasted hazelnuts, driven forward by a limpid streak of acidity – the hallmark of English sparkling wines. More brioche and toasted nuts towards the finish. A sophisticated, elegantly maturing bottle that is ripe for enjoyment.
